Saudi Riyadh Tilapia RAS Renovation Project

Project Core Information:

Project Name:
Saudi Riyadh Tilapia RAS System Renovation Project

Project Period:
Construction started in July 2025 and was completed in September 2025.

Project Location:
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Project Scale:
3 million

Project Challenges:
Saudi Arabia faces scarce water resources, high salinity in groundwater, extreme temperatures of up to 45°C, insufficient surrounding infrastructure, and high construction difficulty.

Project Core Advantages:

Farming Scale: Successfully renovated a 2,500 m + recirculating aquaculture farm, including 25 square concrete tanks with a capacity of 100 meach.
Capacity Expansion: The farming density was successfully increased from the original 20 kg/mto 50 kg/m .
Design Breakthrough: Effectively solved the difficulty of waste discharge in square tanks, resulting in a significant reduction in ammonia nitrogen levels in the water.
Environmental Breakthrough: Successfully achieved high-density tilapia farming under extreme temperatures of up to 45 C.

Core Advantages of the RAS System:

System Customization:A dedicated aquaculture system was customized based on Saudi Arabia’s geography, climate conditions, and water source characteristics.

Stable and Resilient Performance:Effectively withstands high-temperature environments while maintaining continuous and stable water quality.

Efficiency Optimization:Solved the problems of low farming capacity, poor water quality, and difficult waste discharge before renovation, enabling high-density aquaculture.

Customer Feedback:

“The RAS farm was originally designed by another company, but the farming density had remained at only 20 kg/m³. This year, YUTANK engineers visited the site, identified multiple design defects in the farm, and provided a renovation solution. We highly recognized their professional assessment and proposal. The investment payback period is only one year, highly satisfied with the renovation results.”
